Bad news for those unable to register their airsoft replicas on time. Grace period has expired last July 8, 2008.
Good news : There is a possibility for another extension of the amnesty period. UAA ( United Airsoft Alliance) has a pending written request for the said extension. Here's the text :

Re : Regional Airsoft registration concerns
and thanks for assistance in UAA Mass Registration

S I R S:

On behalf of the UNITED AIRSOFT ALLIANCE (UAA) we respectfully wish to convey our heartfelt thanks for kind assistance of FED in conducting the successful mass registrations held at Tigerland and Tribeca game sites last 19 and 26 April 2008. The several hundred enthusiasts who were able to register their airsoft guns at the said events likewise wish to convey their personal thanks to your kind office for the assistance and accommodation rendered by the PNP.

While we have already been conducting our information campaign via our game sites visits, talks, and the internet, we have become aware of some concerns that still hamper the registration process, particularly in the different Regions. Particularly, we wish to bring to your attention the some concerns that we have been getting from our brethren in the Regions.

Specifically, a large number of the PNP Regional Offices or FESAGS are either unaware of the PNP Circular No. 11, or they do not have the appropriate registration forms. Among those which do have the necessary forms, such offices are as yet unaware as to how to go about the registration process. In particular:

PNP Region 8 Tacloban

· No player has been able to register in FESAGS Tacloban since there are no forms for registration or PTT, and the local FESAGS does not know the procedure.

PNP Surigao (Caraga Station)

· No Copy of PNP Memo
· No Forms for registration or PTT
· Local PNP is requiring Mayor’s permit, provincial intelligence clearance, and R2 clearances as requirements for registration.

PNP Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija

· No Copy of Memo
· No registration forms

PNP Davao

· Local PNP asking for Original Receipt and Deed of Sale, and mayor’s permit and clearances.

PNP CEBU

· FESAGS collecting tournament fees of P1200.
· P60 being charged for PTT per tournament
· SPO1 visits sites to collect every tournament.

Understandably, the foregoing problems have created some difficulties in the registration process, which we respectfully request that your good office look into.

Insofar as the players in the greater NCR are concerned, please note that in spite of our best efforts at educating and providing for two mass registration games, the registration process has been as yet insufficient to accommodate the approximately 200,000 guns that still need to be registered. The problem is not the unwillingness of the players to register but rather the lack of personnel, computers, and limitation of registration to working hours, which makes it difficult if not impossible to finish the registration by 8 July.

For which reason, we offer the following recommendations:

1. That the FED reiterate, check up, and conduct a educational program, for the regional commands who apparently are unaware of the Memo Circular No.11 or who do not have sufficient forms.

2. That the FED continue to assist the airsoft community in mass registration programs.

3. That the six month grace period which will end on 8 July 2008 be extended for an additional six months.

We look forward to your usual kind consideration and assistance on this matter. Should there be any need for clarification, we would be more than willing as usual to meet with you.

Very truly yours,
